It's a good read and I'll probably start trying the quinoa for breakfast.
Yes, I know...very late with the post this time around. I'm going to blame it on the fact that I was on vacation last week. ;-)
Later!

I don't know how quinoa compares to steel cut oats, the latter is what I have for breakfast each day. I cook it in batches and save in the fridge so I just have to scoop some out in the morning and pop in the microwave for a minute. I usually cook on the stove with some dried cranberries and mix a bit of milk in when I reheat it. It's cheap, healthy and now that I'm in the habit of cooking this stuff about once a week at night, it's very easy. :)
ReplyDeleteI have also been switching of with the steel cut oatmeal...not as frequently though as my Cheerios and fruit because of the prep time involved (but will definitely start using your pre-cooked routine...you are so smart!). I usually mix mine with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter to get the protein boost...and it's pretty tastey too. The downside is that it makes the mixture a little pasty. Thanks for the tip!
